I worked with several organisations (including Barnados Young Carers, Sudanese Community, Home Education Community) to create and deliver a range of engaging creative art workshops.

Curate, facilitate & project manage a series of consistent outreach Workshops with different communities connecting the arts from my individual practice to Collaborative work with artists and organisations.

I Got Involved Because

• I am creative freelance Practitioner & Facilitator with a versatile art disciplinary, working across different communities that I have a strong rapport and sense of belonging with over the years.
• My aim is to bridge art and community through my practice to create a sense of community, belonging and understanding.
• I am aware of cultural sensitivities within the arts in different communities which makes my approach to curating and facilitating workshops bespoke with careful thought and planning

What I Delivered

Creative Arts Workshops for the following communities Home Education Community, Sudanese Community, Roots Community, Roma Community, kidcare4u Community, Barnados young carers community and so forth - Working with a broad range of families and children from different backgrounds, ages and cultures and different interests.

I had the task of delivering & facilitating engaging and creative art workshops

• Curated a theme for each term looking at different artists such as Van Gogh, Gustav Klimt and Art Deco, Nouveau artist – Alphonso Mucha
• Creating a series of workshops relating to the reproduction- a copy of the artist work.
• Artist study a short bio of who the artist was.
• Creating a sense of connection with art and applying similar artistic process using mix media process, techniques and recreating similar work.
• Both Adults and Children came up with a series of art work
• Bridging the arts and community successfully in these communities using a versatile approach from my art discipline and practice.
